Gah. Not funny. I've downloaded opera now, which at least still has a version for OS9 [In the meantime, you may wish to use a different browser to access LiveJournal. Haha. Try finding one, when you're working with a system this old.], and, more importantly, allows me to remain logged in, but it's slow and somewhat clumsy and flickers in not entirely trust-inspiring ways when I scroll down or load lj-pages; the font that appears when typing in the entry box is tiny, and I haven't found a way to change that yet. [::squints at screen::]

Speaking of which - on IE my entries are perfectly legible to me, as far as font and size are concerned, but on opera they, too, are small in a way that borders on the vaguely annoying. So, question to you all - should I change the font/size? Has anyone gone blind yet?

I'm planning on getting a new computer in the near future anyway, but in the meantime I'm not happy with the recent changes. I didn't say anything when they changed scrapbook so that with my old system and browser I can't upload more than one picture at a time any longer. I didn't whine when they changed interest search in a way that makes it impossible for me to use anything but text-only advanced search, because otherwise the results don't display properly, or, more often just don't finish loading and not exactly freeze, but block my browser while doing so, because I was aware that it was at least partly my fault, kind of. Lagging behind in computer stone bronze-age, and all that. But having a payed account and not being able to use livejournal at all... *grrr*. At least this apparently concerns enough people that they're actually forced to fix it.

Firefox isn't working for you? I have a really old version 1.0.2, I thingk, and it's been working fine except I have to log in each time.

They don't have a version for Mac/OS9...

Your font has always been smaller that the normal standard one on my computer. I thought you were doing it on purpose. ^_^

I did make it smaller, but (hopefully) not unintelligibly so... it looked okay for me before I switched browsers.

(solitary_summer, too lazy to switch over)

Have you tried adding http://*.livejournal.com to your IE trusted sites list?

I believe you can use Netscape 7 in OS 9/10. There's also the iCab browser, but I don't know if it will solve the the problem.

Thanks! They seem to have fixed the log-in bug at least - lj works again for me since this morning. (I had an - equally ancient - version of netscape installed, but had the same problem as with IE.)

The problem with deleting comments is apparently another of the issues resulting from the recent changes - a lot of people complained. I'm not sure what exactly causes it (or how to fix it), because it wasn't the most pressing problem I had...

Hey, wait!! LJ said I wasn't logged in, I was to post anonymously, I tried to delete the entry and LJ says the account owner is wrong and I cannot delete it. Could it be there's a problem with your username (having an underscore)?
