"The good news for the Pentagon yesterday was that its investigators had finally unearthed evidence of weapons of mass destruction, including 100 vials of anthrax and other dangerous bacteria.

The bad news was that the stash was found, not in Iraq, but fewer than 50 miles from Washington, near Fort Detrick in the Maryland countryside."

the number of reported civilian deaths in the war on iraq has risen to 5425 (min) and 7041 (max) respectively, according to www.iraqbodycount.net. i rather optimistically (perhaps naively) assumed the numbers wouldn't change (significantly) anymore when i took the counter down...



oh, and while we're at it...
dear mr. bush & co, when you declare war on Iran try not to accidentally bomb Persepolis. thank you very much. and yeah, they got an archaeological museum too in Tehran.
