Strange week, passed in a bit of a blur. Dropped my (kind of really pathetic) CV and application at the new bookshop in the MQ, on the random off-chance that they might need someone, which is also the only thing I'm going to try before Christmas, because while it's unlikely anyway that I'd find something immediately, I'm not planning on putting myself in the moral dilemma of whether or not to leave M. to face the Christmas rush with some last-minute replacement.

On a completely different note... Ianto's parents - alive, dead, retired to Mallorca? I was in the process of giving them a rather tragic death that would - ::sigh::, finally! - have nicely framed the post-FootR chapter when it struck me that if they're dead, and their death is any kind of a) recent, or b) traumatic (And what sudden death, especially of both parents, whether through accident or illness isn't traumatic for a child or teenager? Also, with Ianto being only 25 it's pretty much bound to be either a) or b).), Ianto would hardly have brought up his father in that context. Or would he? It doesn't sound like there were any painful memories attached, and it doesn't sound like painful estrangement, either. So, back to square one. Mallorca after all? And why do I have to be so neurotically nit-picky, especially over such a minor detail? Why can't I go they way of the authors of at least 50% of the crappy TW fic that turns up on my friendsfriends at any given time and disregard canon & characterisation entirely? ::headdesk::

ETA of complete randomness: Newly discovered crab, rather adorable.
