Highlight was the customer who told me about his Persian cat and the slugs he has to pick out of her fur after she's been in the garden. I must admit I didn't quite believe this, but google tells me that this is indeed a problem. Or at least something that happens to other cats/people too. Hu. Note to self: avoid. Yuk.
God, I hate it when I'm so desperate and braindead that I actually enjoy talking to them. OTOH it's better than the [customer: blahblahblah...

(Also, slugs? Yikes. Our next door neighbour has a Persian cat - or maybe it's Burmese, I forget - but I don't recall slugs ever being a problem.)
Hope things look up for you soon.
I didn't quite believe the story about the slugs either at first, but apparently this kind of thing really can happen with long hair outdoor cats.
Most of the time it isn't much of a problem, but sometimes I feel like I'm losing myself, if that makes any sense at all, which it probably doesn't. But sometimes the discrepancy between what goes on in my brain and what comes out of my mouth makes for a strange experience...

You should enjoy talking to them. After all they are the ones you spend most time with. I mean, you know, if you cant beat it... try to enjoy it at least.
For me, being talked to is easier than talking with someone, it requires less thinking, which is what exhausts me. But acquiring a new facade every other hour is my hobby, so... well...
Or maybe something in my brain is just wired wrong; but somehow I seem to be stuck with a complete lack of social skills and a debilitating inability to lie spontaneously or be anything other than myself.
