bad hair day

Fuck. That's it. Enough. I wasn't satisfied with this haircut when I left the hairdresser and it hasn't improved any since. (It does, most of the time, immediately after the first wash, or when it grows out a few mm) It's horrible. I'm tempted to simply take out the scissors and cut the long fringe in the back myself, because, after all, it can hardly get worse, but that still wouldn't solve the problem of the front, which looks mostly awful when I brush it back and just barely tolerable when I leave it hanging into the face, except for the small detail that I happen to be rather fond of 3D vision.

It simply doesn't fit me or my face.

I dislike looking for a new hairdresser (the one I frequented for years has been getting progressively more frustrating and expensive) and dislike even more spending money correcting a haircut that was expensive enough in the first place, after barely a month, but this is what I'm going to do, most likely. Wednesday?

It's frustrating. I neither have the foresight to know how a haircut will look once it's finished and the hair's dry nor am I able to judge what kind of cut will look nice on me. I have to trust the person who does the actual cutting for that. The one. single. thing. I ask for is that it should fall nicely after washing only and not need any additional styling, because I simply don't have the patience (or skill). Too much to ask, apparently.

Hey there. I saw that you added me as a friend to your LJ.

*extends hand in greeting*

I assume that you are not a native Viennese. What brought you there, and where are you from originally?

We're neighbors. I think Vienna is an hour and a half from my town in Hungary.

Hi. I'm really kind of embarrassed here. I usually tend to faintly dislike it myself when random people friend me without commenting, but I found your posts about your travels fascinating and couldn't think of a good way to introduce myself...

[I also don't usually post at such lengths about girly stuff like haircuts. *sigh* Did I mention embarrassed?]

Actually I am a native Viennese, born & bred, but for reasons a psychologist would probably be happy to explore have decided to write in English.
